Robert Emmanuel Janson, Jr., 90, passed away June 22, 2020. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Korean War and a member of Trafalgar Village Baptist Church. Mr. Janson was very active with his church, he loved to sing in special events at the church and took many trips with Trafalgar Village Baptist, going both to the Holy Land and Egypt. He had also obtained his preaching certificate.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Lela Janson.
He is survived by daughters, Kathy (Charles) Hudson, and Gloria (Gary) Cofer; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday June 28, 2020 at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee beginning at 1 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. at Family Funeral Care with interment to follow at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Road, Bartlett.
