

Rosalind Riddick Kallaher, 90, passed away on May 9, 2016. Born on May 11, 1925, Rosalind was one of five children born to John Burke Riddick, Sr. and Rosalind Walsh Riddick. A life-long Memphian, Rosalind attended St. Thomas Grade School and Catholic High School. She was a skilled executive secretary, working at Belz Enterprises, and the law firm Borod and Huggins. Rosalind married Edward Lawrence Kallaher on December 26, 1950, and had four children. Rosalind was devoted to her family, and was adored by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, to whom she was known as "Memaw". Rosalind is preceded in death by her husband, Edward, son, Kevin Edward, and her parents. Rosalind leaves three daughters, Mary Kendall Kallaher, Susan Kallaher Sargent, and Kerry Kallaher Healy (Lowell), five grandchildren, Andrew Halliburton, Kristin Kallaher Inman, Kelly Kallaher, Chase Ellis and Patrick Healy and two great-grandchildren, Mallory and Meredith Halliburton. The family will receive guest for the sharing of stories, refreshments and memories on Friday, May 13 from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock in the evening at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis. A Rosary will be held at 7 o’clock. A funeral Mass will be conducted Saturday, May 14 at 10 o’clock in the morning at St. Therese of the Little Flower, 1644 Jackson Ave, Memphis, TN with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Theresa of the Little Flower Church.
