Russell Jackson Reed, of Olive Branch, Mississippi died on July 1, 2015 at the Baptist Hospice House in Collierville, TN. Born on December 15, 1933 in Lula, Mississippi to George Thomas & Della Banks Williams Reed. Mr. Reed was the youngest of their 11 children. After working on the family farm he became a pipe fitter and worked for 38 years for Illinois Central Rail Road. The family will receive guests on Monday, July 6 beginning at nine o’clock in the morning until a service commemorating his life begins at ten o’clock all in the Life Remembrance Center at Memphis Funeral Home at 5599 Poplar, Avenue, Memphis, TN, 38119. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Southwoods Cemetery. Mr. Reed is survived by his children Donna R. (Carey) Smith of Olive Branch, MS, Holli A. Reed Stafford of Memphis, TN, and Michael J. Reed of Memphis; sister Mildred Henderson of Tupelo; grandchildren Dustin Smith, Amber N. Smith, Garrett H. Stafford and April Reed; and great granddaughters Kylie Smith and Hailie Reed.
