Sadie was born on April 24, 1934 in Pontotoc, Mississippi, the last living child of Lonnie & Ola Mae Montgomery. She graduated from Treadwell High School here in Memphis in 1952. She married her husband of 61 years John Morris Nash, who died January 22, 2015, on December 3 of 1954. Most of her career was in real estate working with John at Nash Realty Co.
Mrs. Nash loved The Lord and was a longtime member of Central Church. Her other loves were all of her family and dear friends both living and gone before her.
Along with her parents & husband, Sadie was also preceded in death by her siblings Wilma Bennett and Ervin Montgomery.
She is survived by her only son John Robert (Vicki) Nash of Tampa, Florida; two grandchildren Rachel (Matt) McClain of Tampa, Florida & Robert (Sascha) Nash of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; four great-grandchildren Levi, Luci, Hudson & Theo; sister-in-law Brenda Montgomery of Germantown, Tennessee; nieces Annetta & Anna Jean and nephews Victor, David & James Earl; and a host of cousins all throughout Tennessee & Mississippi.
Family and friends will gather on Friday, November 5 from one o'clock until funeral services begin at two o'clock all at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue. For those who cannot physically attend the service will be provided via Livestream through www.memphisfuneralpoplar.com.
