Sara Throgmorton Turner, 87, of Memphis, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2012. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Turner and her sister Mary Elizabeth Hilliard. Mrs. Turner is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, W. L. Turner, her son, Glenn Turner, two grandchildren, Katherine Demellier and Laura Turner-Reed, and two great-grandchildren, Chloe Demellier and Natalie Turner-Reed. Mrs. Turner was involved in various ministries at Colonial Baptist Church and Germantown Baptist Church. Memorial contributions can be made to Kirby Pines Foundation or Germantown Baptist Church. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, December 15 at 1:30pm at Kirby Pines Chapel, 3535 Kirby Rd., Memphis, TN. 38115.
