

Shari Margaret Tucker, 83, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on January 18, 2025, at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House, surrounded by her family. She held the hand of her devoted husband of 64 years, Laurance "Larry" Tucker.
Shari is lovingly remembered by her husband Larry; daughters Rebecca "Becky" Wood (Barry) and Diedre "Dede" Skiba (CJ); grandchildren Audrey Shumate (Jonathan), Jonathan McJunkins (Danyelle), Joshua Skiba, and Jessica Morgan (Luke); great-grandchildren Ethan, Devan, Cross, Greer, Jake, Teigan, and Cyrus; and great-great-grandson Maverick. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Harold L. and Margaret R. Binger.
Born on February 28, 1941, in St. Paul, Minnesota, Shari graduated from University High School in Minneapolis and attended the University of Minnesota. She married Larry on June 25, 1960, beginning a life of love and adventure together. Their journey took them to Lake City, Minnesota; Council Bluffs, Iowa; Rochester and Dover, Minnesota; Neodesha, Kansas; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and back home to Memphis.
Shari embraced each community she lived in with enthusiasm and dedication. She was a homemaker, knitting instructor, newspaper columnist, and an active officer in the Presbyterian Church. A master knitter, quilter and seamstress, her exceptional creations adorned their home and community, bringing joy to many. Her custom-made gifts became cherished treasures for family and friends.
