

Born in Paris, AR, on September 30, 1928, Sherman was a veteran of the US Navy and served on the U.S.S. Shangri-La, one of the aircraft carriers that participated in the atomic bomb testing. Sherman retired from BellSouth (AT&T) after more than 35 years of service. He is a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. Sherman loved being outdoors, cutting grass, riding his 4-wheeler and being with his family.
Sherman was preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Dolores. He leaves a daughter, Sharon Ticer (Al) of Williston, TN, a son, Terry Mynatt (Cindy) of Drummonds, TN, 5 grandchildren: Michelle Pyron of Williston, TN, Clay Ticer (Kristin) of Collierville, TN, Brittany Powers (Sean) of Atoka, TN, Laura Haumesser (Charlie) of Cordova, TN, Ella Mynatt; 6 great grandchildren: Tucker Pyron, Mason Pyron, Taylor Ticer, Addison Ticer, Caitlin Ticer and Betsy Powers. He also leaves a sister, Betty Hauser from Frisco, TX, Raymond Mynatt (Carolyn) of Memphis, TN and Robert Mynatt (Vonne) of Tumblin Shoals, AR, all of whom he loved very dearly.
Visitation will be Saturday August 8th from 12-2 pm at Family Funeral Care 4925 Summer Ave with service beginning at 2pm. Brother Darrell Clarke Minister at Bellevue Baptist Church will be officiating. Food and Fellowship following graveside service back at the funeral home to celebrate the homecoming and wonderful life of Sherman Mynatt. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital in Sherman Mynatt’s Memory.
