Bob, Deidra, and Brent,
Your mom was so special to so many people. I met her when my sister, Donna Prysock, worked for her. Years later, my son, Troy Holloway, worked for her while a student at the university. Donna and Troy have wonderful memories of their time with your mom. She was encouraging, honest, fair, and was highly respected by her employees. She will be missed.

Thank you for sharing your mom with me.  As an inexperienced and new to the big city young girl, I was hired by Mama Sid in 1967 as her first employee when she was chosen as the departmental head of what was then Stenographic Services at the university.  I believe we had two electric typewriters, a stapler, and a hole punch!  During the twelve years I worked for her, she encouraged me, taught me, laughed with me, cried with me, listened to me, but most of all she respected me in everything I attempted. I think I can speak for all the people that worked for her that our job was a JOY; our boss made the difference. 

Her celebration of resurrection on Tuesday was beautiful just as she was.  You have so many precious memories.  May God's blessings be on all of you.

Bob – You and your Family have my deep sympathy as you mourn.  The words are never quite there at times like these, but Stacie and I will be thinking and praying for the Daniel Family. May God Bless you and strengthen your spirit.

Deidre,
 I was so sorry to learn that your mother had passed away.  She was a class act, and I had tremendous respect for her.  You remember me as Miss Susan from Lipman School where I taught both Michelle and TD.  My daughter, Amy Dold Rich, knew her from First Cumberland.

Both of us are praying for you and your family.  Sid doesn't need our prayers anymore; I am certain that she is with God.

Nana Sid was a Grate woman and always told it to me strait ..She will be very much Missed In this world ...My prayers and thoughts go out to ,Brent and their families ..

We want you to know our prayers and thoughts for all of you at this sad time of Sid's death are with you.  She was such a nice, lovely lady - we are priviledged to have known her.  Though she has gone to her heavenly home with Jesus, she is still with you in memories - may it always be so.

Mrs. Sid Daniel was a terrific lady and I am glad that I had the opportunity to know her by working at the University of Memphis.

Dear Daniel Family, I cherish the memories of working for many years with "Mrs. D" in Word Processing at the U of M.  She was mentor and a friend and I didn't realize until I left that department, how much I had learned from her.  She worked right along with us, ate lunch with us, dressed up with us once as a 'six pack of cokes' for halloween, defended us in public, reprimanded us in private, laughed a lot and cared for us like family. I will miss Mama Sid and think of her always as the 'best boss' I every had!  I pray that your fond memories will sustain you during this time of loss.

May God's love comfort you.  She was one great lady to work for. The world would be a better place if more people shared her keen sense of integrity and fairness.

"Mamma Sid" as she was lovingly called by her Word Processing group of workers.  I had the pleasure to work under Ms. Daniel for 15 years.  She was tough at times but she would always have you back and stand up for you.  I will never forget the good times we had.

I thought of you with love every day, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday and days before that too.  I think of you in silence, I often speak  your name.  All we have are memories, and  your memory is our  keepsake with which I will  never part.  God has you in His keeping, I have you in my heart.
