SUSAN LESLIE NICHOLS, 94, died May 29, 2011 at Highlands of Memphis. She was a retired Sears Division Manager, was a member of the Memphis Business and Professional Women’s Club, a member of Union Avenue United Methodist Church, and was a life member of the Woodlawn Chapter of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Nichols was preceded in death by her husband, H. Clint Nichols. She is survived by daughters, Sylvia Carruth and Mary Finn; sons, James Nichols and Howard Nichols; son-in-law, Harold Finn; and daughter-in-law, Cindy Nichols. She also leaves 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, with the service to follow at 11 a.m. at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue. Burial will be in Memphis Memory Gardens, The Reverend Richard T. Carruth will officiate.
