Veneta Braden, 83, passed away April 12, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Braden, her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Raymond Davis, a brother, Limuel, and sisters Kathleen Moore and Willene Miles.
She is survived by her daughter, Becky McDaniel, son-in-law, Bobby, 2 granddaughters Jordyn and Morgan, and a sister, Virginia Lassiter. She was born in Holcomb, MO, and was the youngest of 5 children.
She graduated high school at 16 and moved to Memphis, TN, at 18 years old where she met and married Bill Braden. She loved the Lord and was very devoted to her church family where at one time she played piano, taught Sunday School classes and was involved in Vacation Bible School. She had a passionate love of baseball, and the St. Louis Cardinals were her favorite team.
The family requests memorials be sent to the American Heart Association in lieu of flowers.
A visitation for Veneta will be held Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. A funeral will occur Friday, April 19, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. A graveside service will occur Friday, April 19, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Pkwy, Bartlett, TN 38133.
