

Virginia Leigh Seaman Redick, 62, of Memphis, died Friday, Oct. 29, 2010 at Methodist University Hospital. She was born December 2, 1947 in Washington, PA, the daughter of the late Rev. James S. and Helen Virginia Crawford Seaman. Virginia led a life of service to others and reverence for God. She worked as a caregiver and an English teacher. She had a boisterous laugh and a beautiful soprano voice, singing with many church choirs and choral groups. Surviving are two sons, Colin Walker Redick and his wife Meghan Winch, of Washington, D.C.; Geoffrey Daniel Redick and his wife Sheila Edmundson Redick, of Memphis; a granddaughter, Lily Michelle Edmundson Redick, of Memphis; two brothers, James Craig Seaman, of Wheat Ridge, CO; Ronald Wayne Seaman, of Phoenix, AZ; a sister, Sylvia Gwen Scales and her husband Henry, of Lafferty, Ohio; two nieces, Chris Tomich, of Belmont, Ohio; Carol Santone, of Dublin, Ohio; and two aunts, Mae Seaman, of Sheboygan, Wisc.; Betty Seaman Maxham, of Edison, NJ. Friends and family will be received for visitation at Shady Grove Presbyterian Church, 5530 Shady Grove Road, Memphis on Monday Nov. 1 at 5 p.m. A memorial service will follow.
