I am sorry for your loss Dr.McClain and family. I know how much you all loved her. She was a wonderful lady. Bless you all at this sorrowful time.

Mrs. McClain was my teacher for Algebra II, Trig, and Calculus at East High. She was undoubtedly one of the most influential teachers I had, helping to launch me on a career path that eventually included a PhD and working on the early design of NASA's Space Station. Her love of math and of teaching were amazing. Her legacy includes thousands of students like me who owe her a debt of gratitude. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I go back so far I can remember her when she was Virginia Sullivan at Kingsbury High. She definitely had an impact on me. I am STILL working as a math interventionist because of great teaching we had. Heartfelt sympathy to her family. We share your pain as you lay her to rest today.

I had Mrs. McClain for math at East High School in grades 9, 11, and 12 in the 1960s. She was a great teacher and this made college math a breeze.

Without doubt, Mrs. McClain was the most influential teacher I ever had.  Not just an excellent math teacher but she managed to provide needed, expert  guidance to a confused kid - me. She saw to it that I succeeded in all classes, not just math. A truly superb lady.

God Speed to a wonderful teacher that was an inspiration to many, many, students.  She was a true dedicated teacher and I only pray our children, grandchildren can have this type of teacher in the future.  We the classes of Kingsbury were so fortunate to have so many dedicated teachers during our youth.
