Vivian was born in Glasgow, Scotland to Italian parents, David and Irma Gheri on July 2, 1939. She married Sam LoBianco on July 26, 1961 in Memphis, TN. She is preceded in death by her brother, Frank Gheri and her parents, David and Irma. Vivian is survived by her husband, Sam, their four children, Toni (John Blount), Diane (Phillip Lucchesi), Tom (Tommy) LoBianco, and Catherine (Robert Opfer), and their 8 grandchildren, Johnny and David Blount, Sarah (Eric Napier) and Sam Lucchesi, Matthew and Nicholas Opfer, and Maria and Michael Blanchard (children of Paul and Gia Blanchard). Vivian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, cousin, and friend to many.
She was the light that lit up the room, loved people, loved to laugh hysterically, and was a true joy to be around. She was charming, smart but modest, quick witted, loved her crossword puzzles and Agatha Christie mysteries, and could cook some of the best meals you’d ever have. She welcomed strangers and made them feel at home, took in and cared for our friends as if they were her own. She was kind and big hearted and taught us all the golden rule.
Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, West Cancer Clinic, and The Alzheimer’s Foundation.
The LoBianco Family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all those who supported Vivian and the family throughout her journey.
