

William “Louis” Adams was born on March 19, 1923 to Etta and Harry Adams. He passed away on March 23, 2016, four days after his 93rd birthday, at The Village at Germantown. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, June Turner Adams and his son, William Glenn Adams. His parents and two brothers also preceded him. Mr. Adams was a true southern gentleman and proud to be a member of “the greatest generation.” His fascination with airplanes led him to join the United States Air Force at the age of 18. As a pilot with the 325th fighter group he flew 53 missions in the African and European Theater. He retired from Kraft Foods where he was director of purchasing. Mr. Adams is survived by two daughters, Carol Adams Elliott (Jim) and Judy Adams Perry (George) both of Germantown, TN; a son, Alan Martin Adams (Sondra) of Huntsville, AL; and a special friend and companion Carol Busch of Germantown, TN. He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Services will be held Monday, March 28, 2016, at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave, with visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with services to follow. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials are sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O.
