William Walton Beeson, Jr.

William Walton “Bill” Beeson, Jr., 75, of Bartlett, passed away peacefully June 30, 2014, at his home. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m., Thursday, July 3, and funeral services will follow at 2 p.m., at Family Funeral Care on Summer Avenue. A reception will follow the service. Bill was a member of Christ Church Bartlett where he was an usher and Awana leader for many years. He was an Air Force Veteran, loved to collect Tennessee memorabilia, and enjoyed fishing for crappie at his cabin on Enid Lake. Mr. Beeson was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Ruth Wright Beeson; his father, William W. Beeson, Sr.; and his brother, John Beeson. Bill is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marijon Dahmer Beeson; his son, Bill Beeson (Brenda); 2 daughters, Chris and Angie Beeson; 3 grandchildren, Aaron, Adam, and Katie Beeson; 3 sisters, Betty Betts (Fred), Patty Howie (Harold), and Margo Ehrentraut; and his brother, James Beeson. He also leaves his best canine friend, Spencer. Bill was a devoted husband, loving father, and special friend to many. Lasting memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
