Born on September 24, 1965, Will lived a life full of heart and humor. He will be remembered for his big smile and a wit that could fill a room with laughter. Will was a natural teacher, a loyal friend, and a true enthusiast of all things fast and classic. His passion for NASCAR was rivaled only by his deep love for ’55 Chevys.
Will worked as a dedicated lineman at MLGW for 29 years, where he built strong bonds and earned the respect of many around him through hard work, reliability, and an unwavering commitment to doing things right. Even toward the end of his career, he could beat most of his coworkers in a race to climb a utility pole!
He leaves behind his brother, Tim Crain, wife Denise, their daughter, Kaylee, his beloved friend, Stephanie Keeler, and Kiristen, Holly, Tabatha, and Callie—all of whom he raised as his own and who brought immense joy to his life. He is also survived by many extended family members and close friends who will miss him deeply.
Will was preceded in death by his parents James and Mary Crain, and his older brother, Gary. The friends and loved ones he left behind take comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with his parents and brother, riding high in a ’55 Chevy with a smile on his face and the wind at his back.
A celebration of Will’s life will be held on Friday, April 25th, 2025, at 11:30AM at Memphis Funeral Home. Friends and family are invited to gather, share stories, and honor Will.
