William Dalton “Bud” Farrar, passed peacefully from this life on November 20, 2014 at the age of 86. A retired maintenance director for M.A.T.A., Bud was also a WWII Navy Veteran and member of Leawood Baptist Church. The family will receive guests on Monday, November 24 from 12PM until funeral services begin at 2PM all at Memphis Funeral Home located at 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. Pastor Marc Byrd will conduct the service at the funeral home that will conclude with Naval Honors. Mr. Farrar was preceded in death by his wife Dorrie Ann “Dot” Farrar and grandson Daniel Farrar. He is survived by his three sons William Gregory (Debbie) Farrar of Cape Coral, FL, William R. Farrar of Olive Branch, MS, and Timothy Alan (Dovie) Farrar of Memphis; grandchildren Nikki Farrar, Dawn Marie Farrar, Matthew Alan Farrar and D.J. Farrar; and two great-grandchildren Matthew & Casey Farrar. Memorials in his name may be offered to St. Jude C.R.H. or LeBonheur.
