Bill went into the Air Force and worked his way to become chief load master for the United States Air Force Air Mobility Command.
Bill is survived by his wife of 41 years Mary Jo Lovett of North Carolina and by three children, Sarah Roberts (Chad) Williams of Palo Alto , CA; Michael Wayne Roberts and William Allen Roberts, both of Memphis; nine grandchildren Daniel Williams, Joseph Williams, Thomas Williams, William Aiden Roberts, Lilian (Lily) Roberts, Hayley Roberts, Kayla Roberts, Molly Roberts, and Wesley Roberts.
Bill’s passions in life were the Kentucky Wildcats, the Oakland Raiders, camping, fishing and spending time with his wife, kids and grandkids.
The family will receive friends at Memphis Funeral Home, Poplar Avenue from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2013. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home.
