Della Rita Zelinski

Della Rita Zelinski, age 99, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2012. She was born October 23, 1912 in Menasha, the daughter of the late Alex and Lottie (Koslowski) Slomski. Della married Stanley Zelinski on September 12, 1933. He preceded her in death on June 6, 1959. Della worked as a cook at St. John’s grade school in Menasha and Lawrence University where she retired from in 1977. Della enjoyed baking, making dozens of Christmas cookies every year, embroidery, playing cards and dartball at the Senior Center. Della was also a very avid Packers fan. Della is lovingly survived by her brother-in-law, Ray (Julane) Zelinski, sisters-in-law, Marge Block, Dorothy Giguere, Leona Zingler, Olive Remmel, Elsie Wagner and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Della is preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy (Sister Marise); sister, Marise and Irene (Frank) Pilger; brother, Louis (Viola) Slomski, mother and father-in-law, Louis (Sally) Zelinski; brothers-in-law: Bob Block, Arnold Giguere, Charles Zingler, Walter Remmel, Art Wagner, Ed (Ceil) Zelinski, Sylvester (Mary) Zelinski and sister-in-law, Gert (Al) Matowitz.
