Luella Marcella Long

Luella M. Long, age 89, of Menasha, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah. On October 3, 1923, Luella Marcella was born in Menasha to the late Dennis and Clara (Lingnowski) Pozolinski. Luella married Bruce Long on April 19, 1945 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Menasha; he preceded her in death on August 28, 1966. Luella was very talented at cooking and baking. She also was very good at sewing and liked reading. Most of all Luella loved spending time with her family. They had many family camping trips, holiday parties and other gatherings.

Luella will be missed by her loving children: James (Joyce) Long, Robert (Diane) Long, Marianne (Thomas) Hertzberg, Linda (George) Sass, Sandy (Ken) Allcox, Larry Long, Connie Harder, John Long; her grandchildren: Kristin (Scott) Mitchell, Brandon (Alicia) Long, Shane (special friend Kristi Willert) Long, Andrea Long, Brian (Kristina) Hertzberg, Kevin (Andrea) Hertzberg, Gregory (Laura) Sass, Julie Sass, Ryan Sass, Becky (Mike) Durrant, Amanda (Matt) Stoveken, Kat (special friend, Chris Urso) Allcox, Nikkia Harder, Andrew Harder, Douglas Harder, Bruce Harder, Jeremy (fiancée Brooke) Long, and Joshua Long; her great-grandchildren: Brian, Taylor, Ella, Taytum, Will, Siena, Sean, Bryson, Mason, Randi, Abby, John, Megan, and Kameron; a brother, Dennis Pozolinski Jr., and a brother-in-law, Elwyn (Shirley) Long Jr. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

A Time of Remembrance will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Martens-Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee Street in Menasha. The Memorial Gathering will be held from 10:30 am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place in spring at St. John Cemetery in the Town of Menasha. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
