

Anthony Louis Moore, affectionately known as Tony, was born on December 21, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, to Gilbert Moore and the late Cora Moore. He was raised in a loving Christian home alongside his six siblings in the Cabrini-Green community, where he attended Cooley High School. At a young age, Tony was baptized and accepted Christ at Bethlehem Unity MB Church, a foundation of faith that guided him throughout his life.
At the age of 17, Tony relocated to California, where he began building his life and career. He initially worked as a manager for Bullocks, demonstrating dedication and leadership. In time, he discovered a deeper calling to care for others. In 2005, he pursued a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where he served with compassion, patience, and a genuine heart for helping those in need.
In 2000, Tony met the love of his life, Olivia. Their bond grew into a beautiful partnership, and on June 21, 2008, they were united in holy matrimony. Together they shared a life filled with love, laughter, faith, and countless cherished moments.
Tony’s faith remained the foundation of his life. On January 3, 2016, he was ordained as a Deacon at Trinity Baptist Church, faithfully answering his call to serve God and uplift his community through ministry, encouragement, and service.
Tony enjoyed staying active and embracing life’s simple pleasures. He loved listening to music, dancing, swimming, working out, playing basketball, and watching sports. A devoted and loyal fan, Tony was a proud supporter of the Los Angeles Lakers and rarely missed the opportunity to watch a game.
On the evening of Saturday, March 7, 2026, Anthony peacefully transitioned from this earthly life. Though his physical presence is no longer with us, his legacy of faith, love, and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Cora Moore, and his brother, Milton Moore.
Tony leaves to cherish his precious memories to his devoted wife, Olivia Moore, his loving father, Gilbert Moore, his siblings: Estoria Moore (Steve), Maryann Fullilove (Jesse), Janice Moore (Robert), James Moore, and Leslie Moore.His beloved daughters: Toni Hayden (Maurice), Koretta Haynes (Tyrece), Devon Harding (Lee), and Eboni Shelmon.
He was a proud and loving grandfather to Toniyah Brown, Marquayvis Williams, Maurice Brown, Tyrihanna Haynes, Daleon White Jr., Antonio Brown, Davon Harding, Dashon Murphy, Khloe Brown, A’marie Brown, and Kasai Haynes, and a cherished great-grandfather to Eliyah Brown. Tony also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.
Tony will always be remembered for his unwavering faith, his loving and generous heart, and his deep devotion to family. His wisdom, kindness, and warm spirit touched many lives, and his memory will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know him.
A wake will be held at Miller-Jones Menifee Memorial Park and Mortuary, 26770 Murrieta Rd., Menifee, CA 92585, US, on April 1, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held at Trinity Baptist Church, 29175 Ironwood Ave, Moreno Valley, CA 92555, US, on April 2, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A committal service will be held at Miller-Jones Menifee Memorial Park and Mortuary, 26770 Murrieta Rd., Menifee, CA 92585, US, on April 2, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
