Audrey D Theyard

Audrey Marie Demesme Theyard, a beloved mother, grandmother, and pillar of faith, passed away on April 5, 2026, at 85 years old. She left this world deeply loved and cherished, surrounded by her family.

Born January 25, 1941, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Audrey was the eldest of nine children of Roy and Vivian Demesme. From a young age, she embraced responsibility and care, traits that shaped her entire life. She graduated from Clark High School in 1958 and went on to fill many roles: teacher’s aide, baker, small business co-owner, and, ultimately, a devoted caregiver. Every job reflected her nurturing spirit and her quiet, steady strength.

Audrey’s faith ran deep. It was the quiet current beneath everything she did, helping her face each day with grace and resilience. In 2005, she moved to Menifee, California, where her generosity and warmth continued to touch her family and all those around her.

Audrey loved the simple joys of life. She was delighted in fresh flowers, especially those in gentle pinks and bright yellows—that seemed to echo her gentle heart. Shopping was one of her favorite pastimes, and she always had an eye for style. Always impeccably dressed, she took pride in her appearance and carried herself with quiet elegance and dignity.

She was a natural provider, someone who always made sure those around her had what they needed. Audrey gave without being asked, offering support, care, and comfort before anyone could even voice what they needed. She was a natural connector—someone who could light up a room with conversation, honesty, and humor. Audrey could talk for hours, sharing stories, laughter, and wisdom, making everyone feel seen and heard.

Family was everything to Audrey. She poured her love into her children and grandchildren, holding them close and keeping them at the center of her life. Her grandchildren brought her endless joy and fulfillment, and she treasured every moment with them.

Audrey leaves behind her children, Cheryl (Eric) and Keith Theyard and Tia Taylor, and her grandchildren, Bryson Theyard (Danielle), Braylon, Ian, and Brielle Taylor. She is also survived by her sisters, Gloria Frank (Carroll) and Vivian Edwards, and her brothers, Donald, Gary (Cynthia), and David (Connie) Demesme, along with a host of family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Terry and Roynel Demesme, and her sister, Mary Price.

Those who knew Audrey would remember her kindness, unwavering faith, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Audrey will be deeply missed and forever loved by all whose lives she has touched.
