Donna King, born on March 24, 1931, in Garibaldi, Oregon, passed away surrounded by love and cherished memories.
She was married to Donald Edwin King and was the proud mother of three children: Kathy, Donny, and Kelly. Most of her career was spent as a Teller and New Account Specialist at Bank of America, where she dedicated herself to helping others and building meaningful connections.
She found immense joy in spending time with her daughter Kelly and grandchildren Megan and Dustin while living in San Diego. In recent years, she was especially grateful to experience the happiness of being a great-grandmother to Odin, 9, and Olivia, 4.
An avid reader, she was rarely seen without a book or tablet in hand. One of her greatest pleasures was walking on the beach, searching for agates and sea glass, and soaking up the sunshine. Known for her vibrant social spirit, she loved spending time with her friends, sharing laughter and creating lasting memories. Her infectious laugh had a way of bringing joy to everyone around her.
She was also known for her generous heart, often volunteering as an usher at plays in San Diego and occasionally traveling with friends. An excellent cook, she was famous for her delicious bread bowl chili, a favorite among family and friends.
She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her warmth, kindness, and joyful spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
