

Born 10-13-39 in Goodland Kansas. He passed away August 4, 2025 in Murrieta, California. He was 85 years old.
Gary basically lived in Colorado with his family until he entered the United States Marine Corp on Feb 12, 1957. He was 17 years old and stationed at Camp Pendleton, California. He was in the Marine Corp from Feb 12, 1957 – May 18, 1965. He received his High School Diploma while in the service. Gary was very involved with the Marine Corp and received numerous awards for Rifle Weapons, but his passion was at the Rodeo Grounds. Gary competed in Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling and Bull Riding. He received the All Around Cowboy at Camp Pendleton in 1964. After he left the Marine Corp in 1965, Gary lived in Colorado, Arizona, Texas, but finally came back to California. He was a Truck Driver, a Stud Manager at a Ranch in Murrieta, CA called Los Cerritos, then went to horseshoeing school and shod horses in the Murrieta, Temecula valley until he was 50 years old. Mr. Denny then got his insurance license and was a Farmers Insurance Agent for thirty years in Old Town Temecula and retired at the age of 80.
His hobbies included Rodeo, Raising and Running Race horses and later got into breeding Barrel Racing horses.

Gary is survived by his children: Daughter; Sheryl Lynn Dobbs of Menifee, CA Son; Robert Wade Denny of Menifee CA. Son in Law; Larry Paul Dobbs of Menifee CA, Grandchildren; Katelyn Marie Cordero, Wyatt Preston Dobbs, Thomas Wade Denny and Payton Jay Dobbs. Also, Gary has 2 Great Grandchildren, Braxtyn Bo Denny and Kinsley Jo Cordero.
Gary will be missed by many. We would like to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love and concern and kindness shown to us during this difficult time.
