Jeanene graduated from Eagle Rock High School in Los Angeles, California in 1966. She attended Pasadena City College and Glendale Community Hospital Nursing College. In 1966, Jeanene married Cary "Doc" Sida and they welcomed their daughter, Kari in 1967. Jeanene married Rene Rivas in 1987 and resided in Sacramento, California until 1999, when Jeanene and Rene relocated to Laurel, Mississippi. From 1981 to 1997, Jeanene received numerous first place blue ribbons at the California State Fair for her crocheting skills. In addition she received numerous blue and red ribbons for her delicious baking talents. In May of 2016 Jeanene relocated to San Jacinto, California.
Jeanene is survived by her brother, Ronald Vallozzi, and her sister, Janice Henry. She is also survived by her nieces, Dawn Martino, Tricia Henry-Roos, Robin Carroll, and Phyllis Tarver; her nephews, William Tarver and Robert Tarver; eight grand-nephews and grand-nieces; and her ex-spouse, Rene Rivas.
Jeanene was preceded in death by her daughter, Kari Sida; her father, William Tarver; her mother, Geneva O'Neal; and her brother, William Tarver.
A visitation for Jeanene will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service and committal service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Miller-Jones Menifee Memorial Park & Mortuary, 26770 Murrieta Rd, Menifee, CA 92585.
Jeanene will be greatly missed by her family and friends. We release her into God's care.
