Jeff was born on Christmas Eve, 1953, in Pomona, California and stayed in that area until adulthood. He met his wife, Alice, in the spring of 1974 at Bob’s Big Boy where they both worked and married nine months later. Their first child, Jean, was born in 1976 and their second, Jefferson, in 1981. They moved to Perris in 1982 until 2009, when they moved to Menifee. Jeff was a huge offroad Jeeping and car racing enthusiast and was his brother’s mechanic for several years when they did the stock car circuit in Southern California. He coached and refereed AYSO soccer in Perris in the 80’s and 90’s and considered those his “golden years” because of all the kids he was able to encourage and help. Jeff never met a person he couldn’t strike up a conversation with. He worked for several years as a plumber and then for Dial-A-Ride as a driver and eventually Operations Manager. He could fix just about anything, despite his many health problems, including COPD, heart attacks, strokes, and battling and beating cancer, to name just a few. Over the years, he literally dodged death six times, until his heart finally gave out on August 8, 2024. He loved his family with everything inside him and lived for them. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Alice; son and daughter-in-law, Jefferson and Denise; grandsons, Tyler, Conner, Axel, and Brad; sister Jewels; brothers-in-law David and Paul; sister-in-law Marcia; nephews Jackson, Greg, Tugger, Ronny, and Lucky; nieces Roxanne and Karmen; and a multitude of extended family. He will be sorely missed by all.
