

Raymond Lawerence Stockdale, 77, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024, at Atria Park of Vintage Hills in Temecula, California. Born on November 11, 1947, in San Francisco, California, Raymond lived a full and industrious life marked by dedication.
Raymond grew up in Santa Clara, California, before moving to Monterey, where he began his career with Mission Linen Supply. Later, he relocated to Southern California and worked for Prudential Overall Supply for over 30 years. After semi-retiring, he embarked on a new chapter as a truck driver for Swift before fully retiring. Throughout his career, Raymond was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Raymond found joy in golfing, watching his grandson play baseball, watching sports, visiting different wineries, driving, traveling by himself and with family and cherished the time spent talking with his children and grandchildren.
Raymond is survived by his five children: Richard Stanley (Erika Stanley) of Northwood, New Hampshire; Heather Viray (John Viray) of Newmarket, New Hampshire; Kelly Stockdale of Phoenix, Arizona; Matthew Stockdale of San Diego, California; and Brett Stockdale (Kirsten Conley) of Bonsall, California. He also leaves behind ten beloved grandchildren: Brittany Eggert, James Stanley, Jessica Stickels, Carter Viray, Alex Stanley, Nathan Viray, Audrina Hostetler, Julian Stockdale, Charlotte Stanley, and Owen Stockdale; as well as six great-grandchildren. His grandchildren brought him immense pride and joy and he loved to brag about them. He is also survived by his older sister, Starlit Halstead of Sun City, Arizona.
He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond H. Stockdale and Julia S. (Hannon) Rush; and two siblings: Ronald Stockdale of Arizona and Christine "Chrissy" Jones of Kansas.
Raymond’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his legacy bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
