Rita Marsha Bronson

Rita Marsha Combre Bronson, a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and faith.

Born on September 19, 1948, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Rita grew up in a loving family with her parents, Esther and Chester Combre. She spent her childhood attending St. Monica Elementary School, taking dance lessons, and developing a strong Catholic faith.

In 1963, Rita moved to Compton, California, where she attended Centennial High School and met her future husband, Michael Bronson. After graduating in 1966, Rita pursued higher education at Harbor College and later at California State University Fullerton, where she earned her BA degree in 1978.

Rita's teaching career spanned several decades, with positions at Huntington Beach and Luiseno Elementary School in Lake Elsinore California. She was a beloved educator, known for her dedication, patience, and ability to inspire her students to reach their full potential.

Rita's family was her greatest joy. She and Michael adopted two children, Daniel and Delena, and raised them with love, care, and devotion. After Michael's passing in 2013, Rita found comfort in her faith, family, and friends. She became an active member of the line dance community, Bunco, and other social groups, where she formed lasting bonds with others.

Rita's passing leaves a void in the lives of all who knew her. Her family, friends, and community will deeply miss her warm smile, generous spirit, and infectious laughter.

As we celebrate Rita's life, we take comfort in the words of Matthew 25:21, "Well done, good and faithful servant." May Rita's legacy continue to inspire us to live with kindness, compassion, and love.

Rita is survived by her children, Daniel and Delena Bronson; brother, Steven Combre; sister-in-law, Elyna Combre; nieces, Niah Combre and Kaydence Schock; nephew, Walker Combre; and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Rest in peace, dear Rita. Your love, light, and legacy will never be forgotten.
