I haven’t said  anything about Theresa’s passing until now because-as stupid as it sounds-talking about would make it real…and I couldn’t accept that. How do I say goodbye to someone who’s been my best friend for more than half my life? Someone who knew all my faults and loved me anyway? But last Easter, I was just waking up, and my first thought was of Theresa. She’s not here to celebrate the day. And then I saw her-she was so happy! She was in Heaven and had the biggest smile. It was then that I knew she was at peace. After that day, slowly but surely, I’ve been learning to accept that she is no longer in this world. She was the kindest, sweetest person I ever knew. Her voice was like a melody. Bound to a wheelchair in her later years, she loved living. She loved life. And you could feel it. She gave the best hugs! It was because of our friendship, I met my husband. We went out dancing (She loved to dance!) and the rest is history. We’ve been together more than 30 years!
I was honored to be her Maid of Honor at her wedding. It was such a special day! As she walked down the aisle, I could see she wanted to run to him. Art was crying-but they were happy tears-he was bursting with joy! So proud she would be his wife! That’s one of my favorite memories!… The last birthday card I got for her said “Because God created you, you are a very special person in this world. Because He loves you, there’s no end to all the good things He has in store for you. And because He made you so beautifully, you are a true blessing to everyone who knows you.” I couldn’t have said it better. But she passed before I could give it to her. We have so many wonderful memories. When we got together, we would laugh like a couple of kids. … We planned to be two little old ladies sitting in our rocking chairs, rocking on the porch of the old folks home. Reminiscing about the good ole days. … I was blessed to have her in my life as long as I did. But I miss her-every day-so very much….

Celebrating my retirement. …. Once again, she surprised me!  I had no idea her and Art were coming over. 🥰

My 60th birthday. My Daughter threw me a surprise party. Before I arrived, I was a little bummed because I hadn’t heard from Theresa all day, which was unlike her. I was SO surprised and HAPPY to see her there!  She told me she didn’t want to spoil my surprise and she was afraid she’d spill the beans if she called me! 🥰

some time ago. I will share with our prayer group, which she was a part of, regarding her passing.

You enlighten everyone’s life you touched. You are missed so much. I am honored to be able to spend time with you with my family. Thank You always!!
