

Vernon was the sixth born out of 8 children to Geronimo and Solidad Cornejo. Beloved and dependable husband to Sharon Pollman Cornejo, and Father to Elizabeth, Vernon, Frank, and Jeff Cornejo.
Born in St. Louis Missouri, Tony went to McKinley High School “The Goldbugs” 😊 (and met his high school sweetheart, Sharon Pollman, at Tower Groove Park July 1948.
They raise 4 children and lived in Arnold MO, for 25 years until all their children migrated to California and then themselves moved to join their children in San Diego, in 1989, where they saw their children grow and raise their families.
Tony was not only an uncle, but a wonderful grandfather, great grandpa, and great, great grandpa. His legacy continues in his:
• Grand Children: Michelle, Brandy, Ryan, Cassandra, Chelsea, Christina, Miranda, and Karissa
• Great Grandpa to: Chase, Shawn, Alexis, Anthony, Juan, Robert, Alonzo, Kennedy, (Christina’s baby to be announced)
• Great, Great Grandpa to: Caidence, Charlotte, Ivy
Tony’s profession was a Tool & Die maker for the automotive industry, then later evolved into a Logistics Manager, helping the family business. He officially retired with his bride in Sun City California in 2002.
Tony loved sports, especially fond of baseball and his team “the St Louis Cardinals”, but toward the end switched his passions to becoming “a Cowboy”. Dad loved his cowboy movies! The last series he was entrenched with was, “The Rifleman.”
Dads’ sunset came with the sun rise in Temecula California December 18th at 8:26am 2023.
We love you Dad and we will miss you deeply until we see you again in Jesus’s Heaven.
