Walter Tyrone Thompson, age 69, of Menifee, California received his wings on July 13, 2022. Walter was born June 8, 1953, in Anderson, SC to the late Walter R. Thompson and Mary M. Lindsey, Walter was the brother of Gail Sandiford, Dennis Thompson, Roslyn Thompson, and Michael Thompson, also Cecil Thompson and Penny Thompson who has proceeded him in death.
Walter received his education in upstate New York. He also served in the Armed Forces. He lived in Baltimore, Maryland where he worked as a janitor in Dukeland Nursing home where he assisted with the care of his grandmother Ruby Simms on a daily basis. He soon after moved to California to be with his brother Michael until his passing.
Walter leaves to mourn 6 children Monique, Crystal, Danny, StarrKeya, Quincy, and Sydney, his 12 grandchildren, and 10 great- grandchildren, a life-long partner Denise Mitchell, one son in law Xavier Jeffries, one daughter in law Lisa Thompson, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives that will forever miss his jokes, his smile, his contagious laugh, his savvy dancing skills and his love of music.
