

Greg was born in Milwaukee, WI on October 21, 1967 to W. Kermit Hansen and Olga Hansen. He grew up in the Milwaukee and Waukesha areas and attended Waukesha North High School.
Greg was extremely proud to have served in the US Army from 1989-1996 as an Intelligence Analyst achieving the rank of Sergeant. During this time he received the 3 Commendation Medals, 2 Achievement Medals, 2 Conduct Medals, National Defense Service Medal, and Southwest Asia Service Medal and was Soldier of the Year. He was stationed in Misawa, Japan and Ft. Carson, Colorado. He served in Kuwait during the Gulf War and was a veteran of the Military Action in Somalia.
During his time in the army and in his career Greg traveled the world making friends wherever he went. He always had a story to tell. Greg played Rugby for years and had been a member of the Denver Highlanders, Colorado Springs Rugby Club and Omaha G.O.A.T.S. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and especially loved the Green Bay Packers.
Greg is survived by his children, Alicia (Jesse) Block and Cassie Hansen of Richland, WA; AC1 Shane Hansen of Wichita Falls, TX; Parents Olga Hansen, Aventura, FL and Kermit and Verna Hansen of Waukesha, WI; sisters Laurel (Jon) Stadler of Germantown, WI and June (Ron) Speltz, Cedar Rapids, IA; grandsons, Connor and Noah Block; nieces Alison, Sydney and Angela Speltz, nephews Jake, Austin and Mitchell Stadler and Sawyer Speltz. He is joyfully reunited in eternal life with many good friends who died in service to our country as well as his grandparents.
Private burial ceremony with military honors will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI. Arrangements are being handled by Schramka Funeral Home, Menomonee Falls, WI.
