

Ben Corbett Wilson was born on December 31, 1931 in Medford, Oregon. He spent most of his childhood in Albany, CA and most of his adult life in Pleasanton, CA. During the final years of his life he resided in Merced, CA.
He served in the US Navy during the Korean War and afterwards worked many years for Pacific Telephone in the Bay Area. In his younger years Ben enjoyed drama, playing the trumpet, and playing tennis. He was an avid Oakland Raiders and Oakland A's fan, and also enjoyed rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals, as his parents were born and raised in Missouri. He always enjoyed listening to the popular music of his day and in his later years brought smiles to the faces of those around him by enthusiasticaly playing his harmonica.
Ben was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Miczo. He is survived by his brother, Roy K. Wilson; his three children, David Glenn Wilson, Eva Marie Smith, and Stephen James Wilson; grandchildren, Ryan David Smith, Justin Taylor Smith, Spencer Willian Smith, Kristina Marie Smith, and Scott Anthony Smith; and great-grandchildren, Bennett Kay Smith and Peter Joel Smith. We will miss his sense of humor and cheerful disposition.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2015 at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella, California.
