Bernice G. Battin

Born May 10, 1930 Entered Into Rest August 30, 2024

Bernice was born in Merced, California to William and Grace Espinola. She passed away peacefully in her home on the Battin ranch as she always wished.

Bernice married her Livingston High School Sweetheart, Jesse, on November 4, 1950 and shared 61 wedding anniversaries before his passing in 2011.

Bernice was proud to be a farmer's wife and homemaker raising their three children, Diane (Frankie), Charlotte, Dennis (Linda) and was a proud grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by all of them including her sisters-in-law Carolyn Leonardo, Shirley Callaway, and Ruth Espinola, her Dear High School friends Elaine Shoeffler and Lydia Hopkins and extended nieces and nephews from both sides of the families.

Bernice was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jesse, her parents William and Grace Espinola, her brothers William R Espinola and Alvin Espinola, mother-in-law Florence Battin Burkholder, sister-in-law Pauline Huckabee, brother-in-law James Battin and just recently her beloved 17 year old dog Chloe.

Mother will be dearly missed but we are so comforted both she and Daddy are together forever as she reminded us daily..."Daddy is waiting for me"...

A Graveside Service for Bernice will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Winton Cemetery District, 7651 Almond Avenue, Winton, California.
