Carlos Morales Oregel

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carlos Morales Oregel, born on October 29, 1954, in Tangamandapio, Michoacán, who peacefully left us on November 23, 2025, at the age of 71, while in hospice care after a courageous battle with cancer.

Carlos made Merced his home for 30 years and worked as a dedicated laminator for Matt & Glass Race Car Body and The Boat Industry for two decades. Carlos enjoyed his weekends watching the races at the fairgrounds and watching his favorite sport teams. He was a devoted Club América soccer fan as well as football for the Dallas Cowboys. A man known for his strength, perseverance, and unwavering work ethic, Carlos lived his life with a spirit that never gave up.

For 25 years, he shared his life with his loving companion, Belen Mora, who remained faithfully by his side through life’s joys and challenges. He was a devoted father to Brandon, Alyssa, Marrisa and Christopher all of whom loved him deeply and regarded him as an extraordinary role model. Carlos was also blessed with four cherished grandchildren—Ripley, Rihya, Xavier and Sebastian—as well as 18 nieces and 15 nephews who immense joy into his life. Carlos was one of eight siblings and is preceded in death by his parents, Rafael Morales and Gracia Oregel, his brothers Manuel and Rafael, and his sister Estela.

Carlos will be remembered for his legacy of kindness, his unwavering strength, determination, and the love he shared with everyone around him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Con gran pesar anunciamos el fallecimiento de Carlos Morales Oregel, nacido el 29 de Octubre de 1954 en Tangamandapio, Michoacán, quien nos dejó en paz el 23 de Noviembre de 2025, a la edad de 71 años, mientras se encontraba bajo cuidados paliativos tras una valiente lucha contra el cáncer.

Carlos hizo de Merced su hogar durante 30 años y trabajó como laminador dedicado en Matt & Glass Race Car Body y en la industria de barcos durante dos décadas. Disfrutaba de sus fines de semana viendo las carreras en el recinto ferial y siguiendo a sus equipos deportivos favoritos. Era un devoto fanático del Club América y del fútbol americano, apoyando a los Dallas Cowboys. Conocido por su fortaleza, perseverancia e inquebrantable ética de trabajo, Carlos vivió su vida con un espíritu que nunca se rindió.

Durante 25 años, compartió su vida con su amada compañera, Belen Mora, quien permaneció fielmente a su lado en las alegrías y desafíos de la vida. Fue un padre devoto para Brandon, Alyssa, Marrisa y Christopher, todos quienes lo amaron profundamente y lo consideraron un modelo a seguir extraordinario. Carlos también fue bendecido con cuatro nietos queridos—Ripley, Rihya, Xavier y Sebastian—además de 18 sobrinas y 15 sobrinos que trajeron inmensa alegría a su vida. Carlos fue uno de ocho hermanos y le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Rafael Morales y Gracia Oregel, sus hermanos Manuel y Rafael, y su hermana Estela.
