Charlotte Elizabeth Hawkins

Charlotte Elizabeth (Lee) Hawkins was born to Ruben Ray Lee and Celia (Laird) Lee on January 6, 1955 in Bakersfield, California. Charlotte past away April 28, 2025 at Almond Vista Healthcare Center in Modesto, California at the age 70.

Charlotte grew up in Dos Palos, California from the age 8 and graduated from Dos Palos High School, Class of 1973. She married Roger Hawkins on December 20, 1980. They adopted a baby girl in May 1992, Charlene Hawkins.

Charlotte loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart. She was involved in a number of ministries in the area. She taught Sunday School, ministered at the women's prison in Chowchilla, sang and shared God's word at the Dos Palos street services. She was also very involved with the Toys for Kids and the annual Community Thanksgiving dinner. She loved serving the Lord wherever she was needed. Her life was a shining light unto the world. Matthew 5:16

Charlotte has left behind on this earth her husband Roger Hawkins, daughter Charlene Hawkins, 3 grandchildren: Aiden Roes, Sofia and Arianna Osornio. 2 sisters: Anita Gagnon (Rick), Susan Martin, 2 nephews: Justin Cole and Geremy Martin.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her grandparents Robert and Myrtle Lee and Commador and Gertrude Laird, Parents Ruben Ray Lee, and Celia Lee and brother-in-law Gerry Martin.

Charlotte is now in the presents of her Lord and is at peace. She will be greatly missed.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Dos Palos Cemetery District located at 1800 Elgin Avenue, Dos Palos, California 93620.
