Clorine Lynn Lowe passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on July 20, 1952, in Hanford, California, to James and Alice Lowe, Clorine lived a life defined by devotion, strength, and deep love for her family.
The Lowe family later moved to Winton, California, where Clorine spent her childhood and high school years. She attended Atwater High School and went on to graduate from California State University, Fresno.
Clorine spent the first half of her career at the family-owned Buddy Boy Market in Winton, where she was a familiar and trusted presence. She later worked for Raley’s grocery store in Merced, California, where she continued to demonstrate her strong work ethic and reliability until her retirement.
Clorine was preceded in death by her parents, James and Alice Lowe; her sister, Doris Lowe; and her brother, Steven Lowe. She is survived by her brothers, Edmund Lowe and his wife, Karen; and Raymond Lowe and his former wife, Judy Young; her sister, Ellen (Lowe) Henning and her husband, Duane; Steven’s widow, Stephanie Lowe; and several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Though small in stature at just 4 feet 9 inches tall, Clorine had a presence far greater than her size. She was known for her spunk and feistiness, her infectious laugh, and a genuine smile that lit up her entire face. Steadfast and deeply devoted, Clorine had an immense heart and an unwavering commitment to her family.
Caring for others was her greatest strength. Time and again, she supported and uplifted family members through many seasons of life, always putting others before herself. Her life was guided by strong values, especially her enduring love and desire to care for those closest to her.
A private visitation will be held at Stratford Evans for family and close friends. A graveside celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Mountain View Cemetery in Fresno, California.
Clorine will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
