I first met Dr Castellino in Mariposa when he became my family doctor I’m the mid 1990’s. He then moved his practice to Merced where I continued to make the 40 minute drive just to be treated by him. We last spoke in the fall of 2018 and shared some great memories of our friendship and he helped me with some questions I had related to an illness my son was experiencing. What a great man he was and a doctor. He had an outstanding bedside manner and always made you feel like you were going to be ok. I love you doc and miss you already. Until we see each other again Rest In Peace.

My Soul Brother Conrad., was indeed a special human. We met in the Grants Hospital when I was a patient,( not his patient) when he stood in my doorway and said to me “you’re not my patient but I feel very compelled to come in here” as he entered he noticed a book on near death experience on my table, and we began to talk.
See we had both experienced life beyond our human experience and had our own evidence of the afterlife.
He was an author of two books that I know of an entrepreneur and aspiring singer song songwriter and loved to dine out.
He believed in the healing arts and the power of healing energy,
More than all that he was my friend.

Conrad became a bi-weekly guest at our Bed & Breakfast starting in Sept. 2019. My wife Karen & I considered Conrad and Doreen friends. Everyone we know that met Conrad, including nurses and doctors, respected and loved working with him. We were hoping that Conrad might take a full time position in San Andreas and he and Doreen would become neighbors. Despite the short time of the relationship, we will miss him.

I worked with Dr. Castellino at Castle Family Health Centers. He certainly made my days easier there. I would always pick his brain about random things. A very knowledgeable man indeed. My deepest sympathy and condolences to his family. May you rest in peace Dr. Castellino. You will be deeply missed.

I met Conrad many years ago when he brought his kids to our tutoring center. We had lost touch for a few years and then he came up to me again just a few months ago. And he said’ “I’ll give you a quarter if you can remember my name.” I said “hi Conrad! .... how much will you give me if I told you wife’s name, your sons names and also told you what one of your hobbies is?” That was Conrad. He left a great warm impression with everyone he met! We will never forget you! You’ll need to keep a bag of quarters with you in heaven because 100s of people who have met you will never forget you either.

Dr. Castellino was not only our primary doctor for last 20+ years he was also a very good friend. Not long ago we met at dinner at Dr. Manny’s house & promised to stay in touch but suddenly you forgot your promise.

Thank you Doctor for all the Nobel work you have done for fellow human beings in alleviating their pain and suffering. Rest In Peace dear.

Conrad was an outstanding Doctor and a good friend. He gave me good stock advise and he always wanted my uniform badge. He made every attempt to try to convince me to let him have it. So to honor him and pay my respects, I will shroud my badge which is a fire service tradition when a brother goes before us. God speed my friend.
