“PIE”
Pie was born in Merced, CA on January 26, 1969 at MCMC to Donald Lavern Risner and Gloria Jean (Nichols) Risner. Pie was raised in the Merced area and spent most of his life here and he attended local schools. As a new born baby his mother started calling him her Angel Pie, the nickname stuck his whole entire life. We all have just called him Pie.
Pie had a heart of gold and always had a smile on his beautiful face. He would give you the shirt off his back and do without. Pie’s family was the up most important thing in his life. He was caring for his ill mother since his return to Merced.
Pie would get old bikes off of Craig’s list and repair them for neighborhood kids that couldn’t afford them. It put a great big smile on their faces. Pie could make anything beautiful; he was a very talented man, a great artist, and a very loving man. He liked to make people happy.
The angels came on January 13, 2012 and whisked Pie off to heaven, before we could even say goodbye. Pie we love you. You will always be greatly missed by all your family and many friends.
Pie was preceded in death by his father, (Teeny) Donald Lavern Risner; grandmothers, Rose West and Norma Jean Beeck; grandfather, Gus Edward Nichols, and his uncle, Gus Edward Nichols Jr.
Left to mourn Pie is his mother, Gloria Jean Risner; his companion, Carri Trindade; brothers, Jeffery and Bobby Risner; sister, Michelle Risner; cat, Butter; and numerous other family members and friends.
We would be honored if you would join us in a Celebration of Donald (Pie) Risner Jr.’s life on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sound Life located at 936 W. Main St., Merced, CA. A potluck will follow. Pie you will live on in our hearts forever. We love you.
