Donna Marie Boothe

Donna Marie Facer Boothe was born on April 17, 1933, and left this life for her eternal home on December 13, 2025 at the age of 92. Donna was born into a farming family led by her father and mother, George W. and lla P. Facer in Willard, Utah. In Donna's heart she remained a Farmer's daughter. she was the seventh of nine children, four brothers, Wayne, Max, Reese and Harvey; and four sisters, Jessie, Norma, June, and Karen. Donna was the 5th Farmer's daughter. She attended elementary school in Willard, Utah and Box Elder High school in Brigham City, Utah. Donna was an outstanding student, popular and active in school government. After high school she attended Utah State College in Logan, Utah earning her degree in Early Childhood Education. She received her teaching credential at Fresno State University.

In 1958 her young family moved to Merced, CA where she focused on her children and her church life. Donna had four sons, Steven (deceased), Jeffery (deceased; Sherry), Donald, and Jesse (Julie). After her boys were raised she began her teaching career, first at the Merced County Fairgrounds in the Tiny Tot Preschool and later at Galen Clark Preschool. She taught for the Merced City School District for thirty-nine years, retiring in 2002. She absolutely loved her job and the children she taught. She put on many musical productions with the students over those years. Music was a vital part of her life at school and in her home. donna taught private piano lessons for forty-three years, and if you didn't practice before the next lesson, you were certainly going to hear it!

Donna was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Over the years she served in many different church callings, from teacher to music director. Donna was always willing to serve in any capacity she could and did so with a willing grateful heart.

Donna is survived by her two sons, Donald and Jesse (Julie), 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren (with another on the way) and one great-great grandchild. Her family was her greatest joy.

While we are sad to lose her, we rest assured that she is overjoyed to reunite with her family in Heaven. Funeral services for Donna will be on December 29, 2025 at 10:00 am in the Mckee chapel of The Church of Latter Day Saints, 2976 N. Mckee Rd, Merced. Burial to follow at the Merced District Cemetery.
