Eric James Campos

Eric was born July 25, 1986 to his mother Ms. Irene Campos Martinez in Merced, Ca. Our beloved Eric, spend his last day here with us on October 8, 2021 surrounded by the love and support of his family and fiancé Richard Garza. A resident of Merced County for 35 years, Eric built a life giving back to others. A strong believer of faith and convictions. Eric would live his life ensuring he brought light when only darkness existed.

Eric was a goal oriented individual taking on new challenges related to both work and school. Currently enrolled at Merced College, an expected graduate for the spring 2022 semester we all wish to say “Congratulations Eric, You did it”! Eric worked as an account technician for Merced Irrigation District (M.I.D) where he consistently completed his job with perfection and praise. A radiating smile spanning across his face was Eric’s most notable attribute. Eric loved to be around the joy brought to him by family and friends. Often ensuring to be there for the moments that counted, especially the moments for his nieces and nephews who love and miss him deeply. He often spend his time with his fiancé at their home away from home Vegas! They loved to spend time relaxing and enjoying the sights and sounds of Vegas. Esuring the old phrase stayed true “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”! Another memorable city Eric and Richard enjoyed was Fresno, Ca a must stop dine in location none other than The Cheesecake Factory.

Eric loved to entertain any and all who would show up to his doorstep. An avid cook, Eric was known to make a meal one simply could not pass up. In regards to his domestics, Eric loved the holidays, Halloween and Christmas being his two fondest. Eric was a collector of Lemax Villages for both mentioned holiday, where he created elaborate set up from the pieces he acquired. His family spans across to his four legged children. Eric and Richard share 3 charasmatic dachsunds, refered to as the Wee Wee Boys. Eric loved his canine companions, Louie, Rocky and Ace wholeheartedly. But above all else Eric loved to see people succeed and achieve in life understanding that life was never a race but moments which were placed for one when they were ready for the next step. We like to believe this is true for our beloved Eric, as his took his final steps to be with our Lord and Savior looking down upon us all.

Eric is survived by many, including his fiancé: Richard Garza, mother: Irene Campos Martinez, sisters: Irene & Mary Campos, brothers: Harvey, Philip, Thomas, John & Roy Campos.
