Eva Cardenas

Eva Cardenas was born on January 29, 1918 to Juan Rivas Delgado and Beatrice Delgado in Glendale, Az, and passed away on December 17, 2015 in Merced, Ca. Eva was a Homemaker and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Her hobbies were fishing. Her favorite places to visit include: Colorado River, The Oakland Bay and San Joaquin River. Eva loved to do quilting and for many years loved taking care of her Cactus Garden.

Eva is preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Beatrice Delgado; brothers and sisters, Frank Rivera, Pete Delgado, Carmen Adame, Eloise Delgado, Tony Delgado.

Eva is survived by her sons, John Ortiz (Peggy) and Henry Ortiz (Diane); daughter’s, Terry T. Soria (Dan) and Mary Ellen Soria; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at with rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B Street, Merced, Ca. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 519 W. 12th Street, Merced, Ca, with graveside to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
