Jane’s mother moved to Texas. Jane followed and she graduated from SMU. Her mother moved to California and Jane followed.
She came to Merced in 1965, taught at Franklin School. She taught 2-3 grade combination for 14 years. Then she worked for MCMC in the billing department for ten years. She retired in 1990. Bought duplex in 1984.
Her activities with friends and at church included teaching Sunday School with many trips and tours to Great Britain, Switzerland, Germany, and France. She often visited her friend Sicily in Great Britain. They traveled by car. (Sicily died two years ago.) There was also a cruise with Merced teachers.
Her special friends include Barbara Hoffman, Barbara Ryan, Kathy Shedd, Sally Arnold, Rita Skinner and Vicky.
Jane accepted Christ when she was 16 years old. That has been the most important thing in her life!
A graveside service for Fox will be held Monday, July 8, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Merced District Cemetery, 1300 B St, Merced, CA 95341.
