

Frank John Jacobs was born to Frances Helen Jacobs and Harold James Vincent Jacobs on March 19, 1938 in Manitoba, Canada and passed away on July 9, 2016 at the age of 78 in Merced, California where he was a resident for 38 years.
Frank met the love of his life, Corette, in Carmichael, California. They fell in love and were married on June 14, 1958 at the Carmichael Community Church. They celebrated 52 wonderful years of marriage together before Corette’s passing in 2010. Frank was a man who was devoted to his wife and children and lived a fulfilled life
.
Frank served in the Royal Canadian Army and was honorably discharged on June 25, 1954. He then worked for PG&E for 38 years; he was promoted in 1978 to General Foreman for the Yosemite Division where he remained until his retirement in 1993.
Frank was a very talented woodcarver and spent many hours carving birds for his family and friends. He was also a gifted woodworker completing many treasured projects over the years and had a talent for the restoration of antiques. He was a big fan of Nascar and rarely missed watching a race.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Hinds Hospice: Jennifer, Lisa and Isabel as well as to the caregivers at Lamerson Landy Care: Ronica, Kerstin and Raymond for the attentive, loving care they provided to Frank.
Frank is preceded in death by his Wife, Corette RaNae Jacobs and parents, Harold and Frances Jacobs.
He is survived by his sons, Wade (Lucinda) Jacobs and Ron Jacobs; daughter, Kellie (Keith Hunter III) Jacobs-Hunter; brother, Vince Jacobs; sister, Kathy Webb; grandchildren, Amber Jacobs, Brent Jacobs, Colby Jacobs, Keith Hunter IV, Madeline Jacobs and Avery Jacobs as well as two great-grandchildren, Brycen Jacobs and Parker Jacobs.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out in Frank’s name to Hinds Hospice at 410 W. Main St. Suite A Merced, California 95340.
A visitation will be on Saturday, July 16, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. with funeral services at 9:00 a.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home located at 1490 B Street Merced, California. Interment will immediately follow at Merced District Cemetery located at 1300 B Street Merced, California.
