Helen Leila Carpp Russell was born on June 28, 1929 and passed away on May 25, 2018. Helen lived in the Central Valley for 40 years. She was married to Forrest M. Russell for 60 years and they had two children; Michael Russell and Deborah Ford. Helen was a wonderful housewife, mother and friend to all. She attended the Don Pedro Baptist Church and worked their food program. She also helped out with the church’s bible school. She was a Red Hats and was involved with Bonco.
Helen enjoyed socializing with others and she loved cats. She also loved any meal that included a stick of butter and loved spending time with her family. Anyone who knew her felt blessed. She was a beautiful person with a huge heart. She will be truly missed.
Helen is survived by her children, Michael and Deborah; 6 grandchildren and eleven beautiful great grandchildren which she loved with all her heart.
There will be a visitation for Helen held on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, located at 1490 B Street, Merced, California. A graveside service will be held for her at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hartford, Michigan on June 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
