John Patrick McAndrews

John ( Jack) Patrick McAndrews was born in Omaha Nebraska on June 28th 1931 and passed away on March 1st 2015. John was the son of Tom and Hellen McAndrews. He had a half brother named Joseph ( Joe) and three half-sisters named Lucy, Veronica and Lereta all deceased. John spent an honorable four years in the Air force stationed in Atwater Ca., which was close to Merced Ca. which was a place he liked very much. John worked for save mart for over twenty-four loyal years most of that he commuted from Mariposa Ca. to Merced Ca. He moved to Merced over 30 years ago. John married Ruth Beavers in 1987. They were married for twenty- eight wonderful years. Together they had 10 children. Roxane of Elpasso Texas, Reta of Baytown Colorado, Randy of Mariposa CA, Ronal of Thousand Oaks CA, (Step children) Ronald Beavers (deceased) Lou Beavers of AK. Vernon Beavers of Florida, Roger (Rock) Beavers of Merced CA, Angie Causer of Fresno CA, Cynthia (Cyndi) Beavers of Dos Palos Ca. John had many grandchildren and great grandchildren that knew him as Pa Pa John. They adored and loved their Pa Pa John very much. John was very loving and caring to his family. He was also a great and loyal friend to many people. John loved the outdoors, he especially liked to go to Yosemite and Merced River Bricebury doing what he loved to do, gold panning and just being in the mountains on the river. John will be missed dearly by many that loved and cared for him very much. We love you Pops. Memorial Service will take place on the 28th of March 11 am at New Hope Church 2150 Cherry Street conducted by Pastor Matt Hustler. There will be food and fellowship after the memorial service also at the New Hope Church.
