Josefa Peña (Pepa)

Josefa (Pepa) Peña died peacefully during her sleep on the early hours of Friday April 24, 2026. During the months, leading to her death her daughter Marissa and her grandchildren Cristian and Sofia as well as siblings Maria, Jesus, Francisco, Luis, Roberto, Silvia and members of their families were with her frequently. Nephews and friends also accompany her constantly.

Preceded in death by her parents Agustin Peña and Eloísa Sánchez, her brother Agustín Peña and her beloved son Alejandro (Alex) Castillo Peña. Survived by her daughter Marissa Bentz, grandchildren Cristian Castillo and Sofia Aguilar.

Josefa (Pepa) Peña was born in Atacheo, Michoacan México in 1937 and came to the US in 1967.

Durante los meses antes de su muerte su hija Marissa y sus nietos Cristian y Sofía además de hermanos Maria, Jesús, Francisco, Luis, Roberto y Silvia así como miembros de sus familias estuvieron con ella frecuentemente. Sobrinos y amigas también la acompañaron constantemente.

Es precedida en muerte por sus padres Agustín Peña y Eloísa Sánchez, su hermano Agustín Peña y su querido hijo Alejandro (Alex) Castillo Peña. La sobreviven su hija Marissa Bentz, y sus nietos Cristian Castillo y Sofía Aguilar.
