Lake C. Fite

She was not only a housewife but also did volunteer work for the Senior Community Center in both Visalia and Merced, and Castle Air Base Museum in Atwater.

Lake was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Leon G. Fite; son, Leon Carter Fite; parents, Luther and Martha Stockton; and siblings, Phillip, Calvin, Lynville, John, Luther, Finley, Rose, Mary, Dorothy and Hildred Stockton, and Phyllis Deuell.

She leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Eileen Fite; grandchildren, Howard Fite and Carleen Nikzi; great grandchildren, Ethan and Abigail Fite; and brother, Jerry Stockton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Castle Air Museum, 5050 Santa Fe Dr., Atwater, CA 95301-5154 or to a charity of your choice.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 1:00pm-5:00pm at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B St., Merced, CA with a Winton Ladies Auxiliary of VFW presentation to be at 3:00pm. A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013 at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 W. McCabe Rd., Santa Nella, CA at 1:00pm.
