Margaret Sanchez Vasquez

Margaret S. Vasquez, age 73, a resident of Planada since 1951, passed away on February 15, 2015 at Mercy Hospital. She was married to her loving husband, Pete M. Vasquez for 53 years. She was born in Las Animas, Colorado, to Dionicio and Aurora Sanchez.

Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was loved and will be missed by many. She attended Planada Elementry school and Le Grand High school. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Planada and the Sociedad Edad DeOro. Margaret enjoyed her family, especially her great granddaughter and her dog, Candy.

Margaret is survived by her beloved husband, Pete M. Vasquez. Her loving sons Peter (Blanca),Anthony(Delores) and Steven(Elaine). Her adoring grandchildren, Ariel, David, Anthony Jr., and Isaac Vasquez, and her precious great granddaughter Athiena. She is also survived by her brothers Zacherias, Santiago, Narcico and Gustavo Sanchez and her sisters Enedina Garza, Gloria Garza, and Veronica Rosas.

A visitation will be on Wednesday February 25, 2015 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be said at 5:00 p.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B Street, Merced. The funeral mass will be said on Thursday February 26 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 571 E. Yosemite Ave., Merced. Burial will follow immediately at Plainsburg Cemetery, Le Grand, California.
