Mary Pauline Davidson

Mary was a resident of Merced for the past 59 years. She worked for Merced County in various departments, the last being the Sheriff’s Department. Upon her retirement from the county Mary and her husband Herbert (Dave) Davidson managed the Bear Creek Manor Apartments for many years.

Mary had a heart filled with love, a smile that could light up a room and a great sense of humor. Mary loved animals, crocheting, crossword puzzles, gardening and cooking. She was always looking for recipes to try. Of all things, she loved her family most of all.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert (Dave) Davidson; father, Charles Chatterton; mother, Florence (Mudder) Chatterton; two sons, Jerry and Steven Fletcher.

She is survived by her two daughters, Betsy Haywood (Bill) and Cindy Muratore (Caesar); 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; sister, Bonnie West (Jack). She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

At her request, there will be a private family service.
